Pitch, roll, and tilt axis

The SnowVue 10 reports pitch and roll to ensure that the sensor is mounted to be perpendicular to the intended target surface. The front of the sensor is the face with the vent on it (opposite the connector, see Tilt axis, with the black vent on the y-axis representing the front of the sensor). The etchings are considered to be on the sides of the sensor, with the product model name on one side and the company logo on the other. Pitch occurs when the vent tilts forward or backward around the x-axis (Pitch and roll diagram); roll occurs when the sensor rotates side to side around the axis of the vent and connector (y-axis).
