Verify modem signal strength and quality
If your modem appears to be connecting to the network, but you are unable to reach it, check the signal strength and quality in the ACE Manager web interface.
-
Log in to the ACE Manager login page with your username and password.
-
Once you are logged in, click Cellular on the left menu.
-
Check the LTE Signal Strength (RSRP) and LTE Signal Quality (RSRQ) and compare them to the following tables to determine the quality of the connection to the cellular network.
RV50(X) series signal strength

–70 dBm or greater
–90 dBm or greater

-106 dBm to –115 dBm
Poor
< –100 dBm
< –115 dBm

If the signal strength and/or signal quality is poor, you may have to redirect or relocate the cellular modem antenna to a place with a better cellular signal. Upgrading the antenna or adding a diversity antenna can offer better performance.
Cellular phone apps, like OpenSignal (https://opensignal.com/ ), can help determine the best direction to point an antenna for optimal signal strength.
