File Data Source Properties

Source Name

Designates the name that will be used for the data file in the Data Source Browser. By default, the filename is used.

Data File

The data file to be used. Type in the name directly or press the button to the right of the field to browse to the data file.

The following data file formats are supported in RTMC:

ASCII Table Data, Short Header (TOACI1)

ASCII Table Data, Long Header (TOA5)

ASCII Mixed Array, Comma Separated (requires FSL or DLD file)

Binary Table Data (TOB1)

Binary Table Data, PC Card (TOB2)

Binary Table Data, PC Card (TOB3)

CSIXML Data File

The following data file formats are not supported in RTMC:

ASCII Table Data, No Header

ASCII Mixed Array, Printable

Binary Mixed Array

Label File

This field is used only for data files from array-based dataloggers. The label file (*.FSL or *.DLD) to be used to provide labels for the data values. (The *.FSL and *.DLD files are created when a datalogger program is compiled in Edlog or ShortCut.) Type in the name directly or press the button to the right of the field to browse to the label file. If a label file is not specified, the data source will be shown with a red X in the Manage Data Sources dialog box. A label file must be specified to correct the problem.

Query Interval

Specifies how often RTMC will query the data file for new data. Use the arrows or type in a number directly and then choose Milliseconds, Seconds, Minutes, Hours, or Days from the drop-down list.

Back Fill Entire File

When this box is selected, the entire data file will be brought in when initially queried by RTMC. When this box is not selected, the amount of data to be brought in is specified in the Back Fill Offset field.

Back Fill Offset

Indicates how much data, in KB, will be brought in when the data file is initially queried by RTMC.
