Setting up automatic data collection

When LoggerNet is running and scheduled collection is enabled, LoggerNet will automatically connect to a specified station at a designated time and collect data from it. This occurs behind the scenes without any prompting from the LoggerNet user.

NOTE:

For automatic data collection to occur, the LoggerNet toolbar must be running; or, in the case of LoggerNet Admin installations, the LoggerNet Service must be started.

In addition to the LoggerNet manual, see www.campbellsci.com/videos/collect-data-tutorial and www.campbellsci.com/videos/scheduled-automatic-data-collection for more information.

  1. From the Main category of the LoggerNet toolbar, click Setup .

  2. Select a CRVW3 from the Entire Network on the left.

  3. On the Schedule tab, select the Scheduled Collection Enabled checkbox.

  4. Set a Collection Interval.

  5. Click Apply to Other Stations… to have LoggerNet manage scheduled collection for other stations in your network.

  6. Use Status Monitor , from the Main category of the LoggerNet toolbar, to ensure LoggerNet is connecting with each station and its data is being collected. For more information, see Status monitor.
