Predefined Constants

The datalogger operating systems have a list of reserved words called predefined constants that are used internally. These reserved words cannot be used as variable or table names in a program. The predefined constants include some instruction names, as well as valid alphanumeric names for instruction parameters. In general, instruction names should not be used as variable, constant, or table names in a datalogger program, even if they are not specifically listed as a predefined constant. In addition, constants used in Data Table Access syntax are reserved and should not be used as variable, constant, or table names.

The list of predefined constants is also available from the datalogger terminal mode (from ClosedDevice Configuration Utility Configuration tool used to set up dataloggers and peripherals, and to configure PakBus settings before those devices are deployed in the field and/or added to networks., click the Terminal tab) using command "F" and then "C".
