Long cable lengths

Long cable lengths (>50 ft) may require longer than normal analog measurement settling times. To address this, enter a longer settling time in the SettlingTime parameter of the Therm109() instruction. Campbell Scientific suggests doubling the settling time for every additional 50 ft. The following code snippet demonstrates how to increase the settling time by 20000 µs, by placing 20000 as the argument for the SettlingTime parameter. This snippet is for a CR6-series data logger. Code for other data logger models will be similar; however, the terminal numbers and names may vary depending on the model.
